This safari covers north of Tanzania Lake Manyara National Park and its huge soda lake and intriguing tree climbing lions, Serengeti National park and its beautifully displayed plains adorned with amazing landscape. Day 1 – Arusha – Lake Manyara 2-3 hours drive

Meet and greet at Kilimanjaro Airport arriving on a morning flight to transfer to Lake Manyara national park aiming to have lunch in the park. Take a little rest, refresh and prepare for a late afternoon game drive. The park consists of a huge but shallow soda lake which covers two-thirds of the park strategically positioned at the foot of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment. The park has a diverse mammal population with one of Africa’s largest concentrations of elephants calling the park home. Above and beyond its amazing tree-climbing lions, Lake Manyara National Park also hosts large flocks of flamingos. Dinner and overnight at Lake Manyara – mid-range accommodation. Day 2 – Lake Manyara – Serengeti Plains 6-7 hours drive

Head to Serengeti National Park after breakfast through the beautiful farmland of Karatu and via Ngorongoro Conservation Area – we will have lunch in Serengeti. Arrive for a magnificent descend into Serengeti National Park which is enhanced with endless plains that form beautiful skylines. Our destination today is Seronera area – the center of the park and a very rich wildlife habitat. The area is enriched with Seronera River a valuable water source and a wildlife magnet to most of Serengeti’s mammal species. This area is a must see for a satisfactory visit to Serengeti National Park. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Sopa Lodge mid-range accommodation. Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner

Day 3 – Serengeti Plains

An exciting day – looking forward to a Hot Air Balloon experience over the Serengeti Plains. Floating soundlessly over the wakening savannah you get to see wildlife, incredible scenery views of rivers and African home steads across several villages. Finish off this amazing experience with a sumptuous breakfast and game drive along the sogore River Circuit, circling the plains south of Seronera River. The area is a great location to see lions, cheetah, Thomson gazelle ostriches and more. We will stop for a picnic lunch break at the Visitor’s Center sitting under the beautiful shade of a huge acacia tree. The Visitors’ Center is a good place to learn more about the park from the available area maps and leaflets on sell. Cold drinks and some nibbles are also available for purchase here.

After lunch and a good stretch to relax, we follow the Kopjes Circuit in the afternoon which goes anti-clockwise around the Maasai Kopjes. Day 4 – Serengeti Plains – Ngorongoro crater

Depart for Ngorongoro Conservation area after breakfast on a drive of about 5 hours with a stop at Olduvai Gorge a place with great history dating as far back as millions of years ago. Records show that the anthropologists Drs. Lois and Mary Leakey discovered the skulls of ‘Nutcracker Man’ and ‘Handy Man here. We will have lunch in Ngorongoro at our overnight accommodation and thereafter slope over 600 meters into the crater to view wildlife. This National Park provides for a variety of wildlife species which comprise zebra, herds of wildebeest, warthog, buffalo, hippopotamus, eland, and giant African elephants. The park’s population of predators is incredible and includes: the mysterious leopard, cheetahs, lions, hyenas, and jackals. Lake Magadi is a highlight in the park, and hosts a big number of hippopotamus, flamingos, and several water bird species besides the other animals it attracts to it. Day 5 – Ngorongoro Crater – Tarangire National Park

Drive to Tarangire National Park after breakfast, popularly known for having some of the biggest elephant herds on the African continent. The journey lasts about 4 hours aiming to start on a game on arrival and a picnic lunch in the wilderness. The vegetation here is mostly swamp, giant African Baobab trees and Acacia woodland. The parks shares its name with Tarangire River and its terrain is mostly made up of low-lying hills on its Great Rift Valley floor. River Tarangire and its surrounding swamps are a major attraction to wildlife especially during the dry months of the year and three rare wildlife species call this park home. The fringed-eared Oryx, greater Kudu, and some Ashy Starlings. Dinner and overnight at Sopa LodgeTarangire mid-range accommodation. Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner

Day 6 – Tarangire National Park – Arusha about 2-3 hours drive.

Start early with a great breakfast and then drive back to Arusha on a journey of about 2 and a half hours. Arrive Arusha to have early lunch and head to the airport for you international flight home.
