10 Days Classic Uganda Wildlife Safari

Day 1: Welcome to Uganda the Pearl of Africa

As soon as you arrive to the airport our company representative will come to pick you up and drive you for around 45 minutes after which you will arrive in Kampala and overnight and stay at Kampala Serena Hotel (Luxury), Cassia Lodge (Mid-range) or Airport Guest House (Budget)

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park 

Early morning at 8am embark on the journey to Murchison falls national park with a stop at Ziwa rhino sanctuary for rhino trekking for an hour then to have lunch after lunch. Continue on your Murchison Falls wildlife tour to Murchison Falls National Park a must-see for variety of wildlife and many bird species during the drive then head to the top of the falls after that head to the accommodation check in dinner over night at Paraa Safari Lodge (luxury), Pakuba Safari Lodge (mid-range), Fort Murchison lodge or Gipiri &Labongo safari lodge (Budget facility).

Day 3: Early Morning Game drive & Afternoon Boat ride at Murchison Falls National Park

Today have an early raiser with a breakfast at 6am then at 6:30am head out for a game drive which will take you and your Murchison Falls wildlife travel mates to spot a variety of early riser nocturnal animals, birds and other wildlife like the big five which include: lions, buffaloes, giraffes, elephants, leopards, warthogs, water and bush bucks, topi and oribi. Return to the lodge after a 4 hours game drive and relax till lunch is served and go for a boat cruise along River Nile at 2pm that finishes close to the bottom of the falls. On the boat cruise watch out for hippos, crocodiles, and birds like the African Fish Eagle along the river banks and take a stunning variety of photographs this boat cruise will take about 2hours then after the boat cruise you are picked by our company representative or guide and head to your overnight accommodation dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge (luxury), Pakuba safari lodge (mid-range), Fort Murchison lodgeGipri and Labongo Safari Lodge (Budget facility)

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale National Park

Today wake up to a relaxed morning have breakfast at 7:30am and prepare to head to the top of the falls where you will get to see the wild waters of the Nile fights through a narrow water fall  down to the bottom at 80-100km/hr. of speed after embark on your 5-6hours journey to kibale national park have enroute lunch then continue to kibale national park for dinner overnight at Kyaninga Safari LodgePrimate Safari Lodge (high-end), Turaco Treetops Safari Lodge (Mid-range), Kibale Forest Camp (Budget).

Day 5: Chimpanzee tracking and Evening Bigodi Nature Walk in Kibale Forest National Park

After breakfast today at 9am head to the park headquarters for briefing about the park rules and the chimpanzees’ rules. Thereafter proceed into the forest to search for the habituated Chimpanzees. The search lasts between 2-4hours depending on how far they have gone into the forest in search for food. Other primates to see are: Vervet Monkeys, olive baboons, grey cheeked mangabey plus the black and white Colobus among others. Return to the lodge to relax and have lunch after lunch head out for a nature walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary at 4pm.Bigodi is host to over 138 bird species, several primates like the Black and white Colobus monkey, blue monkey, grey cheeked mangabey and the red-tailed monkeys. The Bigodi wetland nature walks are an initiative of the local community and are therefore a direct way of giving back to the community. Dinner and overnight at Kyaninga Safari LodgePrimate Safari Lodge (High-end Lodge), Turaco Treetop safari lodge (moderate Lodge) or Kibale Forest Camp (Budget Lodge)

Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Today have a relaxed morning have breakfast at 9am then get ready to drive to Queen Elizabeth national park at 10am the drive may take you 2hours or 2 and a half hours to reach Queen Elizabeth national park then have lunch at your overnight lodge at 12:30pm and after lunch prepare to head out for an evening Game drive good opportunities to encounter elephants, buffalo, water bucks, warthogs, lions, Uganda Kobs, and a variety of birds then after head to your overnight lodge dinner overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge or Elephant Plains Lodge (luxury/high end), Ihamba Safari Lodge (Mid-range), Simba Safari Lodge (Budget).

Day 7: Early Morning Game drive and Afternoon boat cruise at Queen Elizabeth National Park.

An early morning game drive at 6:30am after breakfast along Kasenyi and Queens Mile provides good opportunities to encounter elephants, buffalo, water bucks, warthogs, lions, Uganda Kobs, and a variety of birds. Your Queen Elizabeth Wildlife Tour game drive will last up to about 4 hours and thereafter return to the lodge for refreshments and breakfast. After lunch, a boat ride along the famous Kazinga channel is an opportunity to encounter hippopotamus, buffalo, elephants and many more. The boat trip also takes visitors to see a variety of countless bird species. And have an evening nature walk if you want to experience the wild with a guide nature walk with a park ranger. Dinner and overnight stay at Mweya Safari Lodge/Elephant Plains Lodge (High lodge) or Ihamba Lakeside Safari Lodge (Moderate facility) or Simba Safari Camp (Budget facility).

Day 8: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Today wake up to a relaxed morning at 8am have breakfast and at 9am embark on a 5-6hours drive to Bwindi impenetrable national park where you will drive through the ishasha sector and get to see the tree climbing lions if by chance you find them on the trees  after that head to Bwindi impenetrable national park on the buhoma trekking side have lunch enroute dinner over night at Mahongy springs lodge (high end), Silverback safari lodge /The Haven Lodge (Mid-range),  Ride for a woman cottages (Budget).

Day 9: Gorilla Trekking and Batwa Cultural Experience at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Today is dedicated to Gorilla tracking which begins at 8:00 am with a briefing from the Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. Please bring with you a rain jacket, long pants drinking water, snacks, good comfortable hiking shoes/boots, sunscreen, a hat, and insect repellent to enhance your experience.The guides will lead your way into the jungle in search of these shy Primates in the group you have been booked for. Do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare Mountain Gorillas which is perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. Gorilla tours usually involve tracking for about 2 to 5hours sometimes under a heavy rain down-pour but all the same a worthwhile experience. If time allows, on return from the jungle you will go for a village Walk/community visit for a great opportunity to see how the indigenous people live. This delightful moment in Bwindi takes you to learn and take time to appreciate the life of the local people and the Batwa communities. Dinner and overnight stay at Mahogany Springs Lodge (High end lodge) or Silverback Lodge (Moderate facility) or Ride for a Woman (Budget facility).

Day 10: Bunyonyi Boatcruise and Transfer to Kampala

You will wake up with the rising sun. Have breakfast in the lawns and seal your mountain gorilla safari with a brief exciting boat cruise on Lake Bunyonyi. Enjoy the serenity of the lake with cool breezes soothing your skin. Be alert for several attractive bird species on the lake and pay extra attention to guide’s moving stories. You will get to the hotel and check out by 11.00 for a journey with surprise after each adventure surprise to Kampala, Uganda. You will have an African buffet lunch in Mbarara and brief stop at Equator line crossing area; Kayabwe for photo opportunity and freshen up. You will arrive in Kampala late evening and the driver will take you to a hotel or Entebbe International Airport for your outbound flight marking end of an eventful gorilla trip to Uganda that goes beyond borders of two countries.
